Michael was born and raised in Mobile and is a 2005 graduate of St. Paul’s Episcopal School. He received a B.S. in Finance in 2009 and a Master of Business Administration in 2011, both from the University of Alabama.
Upon graduation, Michael joined BBVA Compass Bank in the LEAP program located in Birmingham, AL. A year later, while still with BBVA, he moved to Dallas, TX and worked in the commercial bank with a specialization in large middle-market public finance credits. In 2014, Michael moved back to Birmingham to work in Capital Planning for BBVA Compass, where he contributed to all aspects for the regulatory CCAR review as required by the Dodd-Frank Act Stress Tests (DFAST).
Michael returned home to Mobile in July of 2017 to join Morgan Stanley as a financial advisor. He left Morgan Stanley in 2022 to join MMPW.
Michael has held leadership roles for numerous charitable and civic organizations, including the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), the Senior Bowl Committee, and the Finance Leadership Committee for L’Arche Mobile.
Michael and his wife, Jane, have three daughters, Alden, Nell and Janie. Alden and Nell attend UMS-Wright Preparatory School.
